Golden Bay Arts

A directory website for an art group based in Golden Bay, New Zealand.

The Golden Bay Arts has been printing their directory for over 20 years and is run by passionate artists to market Mohua, Golden Bay in New Zealand as an art destination. The paper version has proved itself to be a very useful tool for visitors traveling to the Bay but due to the lockdown in 2020 many tourists could not travel and therefore artists faced uncertainty for the following season.

With this in mind, we decided to launch a new platform to showcase artists in the Bay, giving them a digital presence, many of them for the first time. We hope this will provide the artists with a cost-effective way to gain a wider audience.

The website features a gallery of all printed directories from the last 20 years.

We see an independent digital art platform for promoting, discovering, and appreciating the unique and eclectic visual arts of the Mohua, Golden Bay community.
